Campers become junior scientists and engineers as they explore the Sun, planets, and space through exciting, hands-on STEM activities. Students investigate invisible ultraviolet (UV) light using color-changing beads, design their own Mars bases to support human life, and conduct crater experiments to understand how impacts shape the Moon.
Through guided experiments and creative challenges, campers learn how scientists ask questions, test ideas, and observe results. They explore how sunlight affects our world, how astronauts might survive on Mars, and how craters form on planetary surfaces.
This program introduces young learners to the foundations of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in a fun and engaging environment that builds curiosity, confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Non-profit organization FIRST® partners with LEGO to prepare young people for the future through FIRST LEGO League (FLL). Over three action-packed days, students will take on an action-packed FLL-style challenge and race to solve it as a team! Campers will design, build, and program their own robots using LEGO bricks and block coding. On the last day, we will put their robots to the test in a competition-style showcase!
Exciting Camp Activities Include:
Parachute Challenge — “Slowing the Fall”
Catapult Challenge
Egg Drop Challenge
Bridge Building Challenge
